Dear law school,
Why do you have to be so expensive? We would like to eat more than beans and rice for the next three years.
Baby Boy,
Thanks for the constant tap dancing in my belly. We are so excited to see you in just three more months!
Dear ants,
Beware. If any of you survived the Great Kitchen Battle of 2013, I will come for you. Tell your friends.
Dear naptime,
Please come earlier in the day. Or just come at all. 9:30am sounds good?
Dear Husband,
You graduate in just 2.5 weeks! So excited! So proud!
Dear pregnancy brain,
Forget all the doubters, you are real. And terrifying. In the last week, I have lost two oranges at work, mysteriously found two water bottles on my desk, forgotten where I live, and torn my office apart looking for a paper I left on the printer. Oh boy.
Dear springtime,
You teased us with beautiful weather a few weeks back, and I wouldn't mind if you did it again, but for now these rainy mornings are just fine with me (but don't tell anyone, I seem to be in the minority)

red rock roadtrip
As soon as I heard about babymoons, I was hooked. A last chance for a couples vacation before the kids come? Sign me up! This weekend we packed our bags and headed to sunny Radiator Springs St. George for some relax fun in the sun.
Highlights:
Rock scrambling time. Andre made his way through "Fat Man's Misery", but I thought it was best for the baby if I didn't squeeze myself through a 12 inch wide cavern and was just the photographer. Turns out my husband is like a little kid around all those red rocks.
Downtown time. Art festival, great people watching, missionary tours
Delicious food time. We seriously ate our weight in amazing food. But then we walked it off, so it doesn't count.
Bed and Breakfast time. Old polygamist homes, clawfoot tubs, squeaky stairs, and gourmet breakfasts. An excellent choice.
Temple time. Beautiful. And I learned that maybe that skirt isn't the most pregnancy flattering and should be retired for the next few months. A 24.5 week baby bump.
St. George, we love you and the sunburns we got and the time we got to spend together without Andre doing homework.

weekend adventurers
There's something about a bright spring weekend that makes us want to try new things. I somehow convinced Andre to put aside his homework and have some fun adventures this weekend.
Our weekend kicked off with Soccer Saturday--a pick-up game in the morning and the Real Salt Lake game in the afternoon--my first professional soccer game. Andre may have quietly cheered for the Colorado Rapids, but at least we didn't get beat up by RSL fans!
We kept trying new things with our festive St. Patrick's day dinner on Sunday. I woke up from my tired and pregnant Sunday nap to find Mr. Kitchen Adventurer creating new roll and jello (green, of course) recipes. What a champ!

Sunday thoughts
+ Shamrock shakes are back, people! Even the non-mint fan Kaiser kids were impressed.
+ We were at a dinner this week where these boys were honored. Almost all of them are getting ready to serve missions soon. What an inspiration! (read the article, its a good one)
+ We are in the process of organizing/purging everything we own. 2 bags to DI, 2 bags of trash, and some stuff pawned off on friends. Cleansing feels so good.
+ I ordered a steak salad this week. I feel my family will really appreciate the progress I am making. Steak! Andre has helped, and now I am actually ordering it at restaurants. Progress!
+ the perfect Sunday mornings are a little bit of sleeping in, spring rain showers, and relaxing with scriptures and journals. Thank you, stake conference, for giving us a break from early Sunday mornings.
+ oh yeah, our baby is a BOY! We are so excited and a little overwhelmed. But mostly excited. Little baby sunday shirts! miniature swim trunks! bow ties!

law school update
André has three great offers from law schools around the country and we are waiting to here back from two more schools. We're visiting a few more campuses in the next month and hoping to make a decision by April. Exciting times and big changes ahead!
So proud of André and all his hard work!

Triumphs and Tragedies
from the past week:
Tragedies:
Tragedies:
- Sick husband. All the time.
- Sitting in a Monday morning work meeting this week, I realized my skirt was on inside out. A quick switch in the bathroom means (hopefully) no one noticed.
- A quiche gone horribly wrong for dinner group. Luckily, we have patient friends.
- Andre scored a goal in his first intermural soccer game of the season.
- I tried a new barre workout. It kick my tush, but the endorphins were great. So, triumph.
- French vanilla hot chocolate every cold morning at work.
- The good news from law schools just keeps coming!
- And this. Total triumph. hello, bulk goods!
