Hunting for ladybugs in the backyard. For some reason, ladybugs love our yard, so there's always a lot to find.
College friends came to town, so we got the kids together for some fun adventures. It's a little different hanging out together now than when we were newlyweds in school.
Tessa insists on wearing sun hats, but we only have hats from last summer that are way too small. It doesn't stop her! This was an interesting outfit day with her choice of hat and shoes, but she was covered and happy, so we'll take it.
Warm weather means lots of park days!
Season pass weekend at Elitch's meant a special day for just me and Rhett. It was snowing, so we didn't last long, but we still had a good time. Rhett rode bumper cars four times in a row because it was covered and dry. Looking forward to lots of (warmer) fun this summer!
Practicing his sight words with Javy the stuffed javalina, on loan from Grammy and Gramps
Showing off his Jasper Johns-inspired art at the school art show. I love seeing his creativity grow in art class.
Date night to the Rockies! We had great seats and even had a foul ball land right in front of us. If I hadn't been holding onto Andre so hard in fear, he could have reached out and caught it.
While Andre worked on the big garden beds, the neighbors helped us plant the patio herb garden. Lots of helpers meant the plants got man-handled, so hopefully they survive!
The Easter bunny brought art supplies for these art lovers.
Rhett and Tessa are just the cutest together. This sums their relationship up well: Rhett does everything to "help" Tessa, even if it's a little difficult or uncomfortable. Here he's helping her find an Easter egg.
Easter Sunday!
A beautiful day off school coincided with national pretzel day and free soft pretzels, so we went to an amazing mall playground and had a snack. The only reason to share this picture is Tessa's face.
Rhett has been into spikey hair lately (thanks to the gorilla snot gel), and one day he requested a mohawk for school. I did my best, even with his cowlicks in the back.
